23andMe has launched a new Family Tree tool that uses your shared DNA to visually reassemble a genetic family tree with your DNA matches on it. This is a major breakthrough for genetic genealogists, as it allows you to see how you are related to your DNA matches even if you don't know your family tree or haven't entered the information into a tree file yet.

The tool works by analyzing the DNA that you share with your DNA matches. The more DNA you share, the closer you are related. The tool then uses this information to predict your relationships to your DNA matches and create a family tree.
