I've been a trainee corporate lawyer for 2 whole years now, and I've made mistakes almost daily, so I thought that the end of my trainee lawyer journey would be the perfect time to share some of the lessons I've learned so far. The start of any career is going to be tough at times new teams, new ways of working, new concepts, new skills, new technology

Here are just a few of the things I've found difficult at times over the last 24 months: getting used to different people's working styles, sometimes having to make sacrifices to do well in my job, being at the bottom of the ladder often with less visibility on the big picture, and feeling like the tasks I am doing require relatively little knowledge or skill.

But I think I've learned to work through these challenges, and better cope with balancing work and my life outside of work, workplace politics, and my position as a junior within a large organisation So, I hope that you find some of these lessons helpful as you start your career, and hopefully you can avoid making some of the mistakes I've made over the last 24 months

About Me

I'm a trainee lawyer, parttime YouTuber, son, brother, startup founder, boyfriend, black coffee drinker and plant dad. I graduated from Cambridge University (where I studied French and Spanish), topped my law school class and now work for a corporate law firm in London as a trainee solicitor (which takes up a lot of my time)!

Around that, I'm a big fan of discovering new ways of thinking, of balancing work with life, and of performing to the very best of my ability. Ohh, and being happy. And I try to share all that on this YouTube channel

Fun fact: I believe we massively overplay the role of “natural talent” AND… I also believe that TOGETHER, WE ARE ALL CAPABLE OF POSITIVITY, PRODUCTIVITY AND SUCCESS.
