This time, an inspiring story comes from Sopian Hanif Aprian or familiarly called Iyan, a freshwater lobster farmer and owner of the Lobster Balap farm in Kampung Setu, Cilangkap Village, Tapok District, Depok City, West Java.

Who would have thought, this 24yearold young man who did not "experience" knowledge of the world of fisheries or maritime could cultivate freshwater lobsters autodidactically. He had previously worked for a number of companies but eventually chose to resign.

His life may have been destined to become a freshwater lobster farmer. Starting from finding "wild" freshwater lobsters in a pond, Iyan tried to cultivate them until he was finally able to create a farm called Lobster Balap.

The choice of the name Lobster Balap is quite interesting. According to Iyan, he took the name because in the future, as he hoped, his business would be able to advance rapidly, competing with other freshwater lobster farmers.

The freshwater lobster cultivation technique at Lobster Balap is quite interesting. Iyan cultivates in a tarpaulin pond for the breeding and nursery process, while the freshwater lobster enlargement process is carried out in a pond.

On this occasion, Iyan shared knowledge regarding the ideal size of a tarpaulin pond for freshwater lobster cultivation. In addition, the owner of Lobster Balap also shared knowledge regarding feed, filtration systems, and much more.
