Its a horrendous period for the aviation industry. One of the current, and more saddening casualties of the current pandemic is KLM's Boeing 747 fast tracked retirement. Initially the airline planned to retire these great aircraft in 2021 but the airline concluded its last flight at the end of last month. Skies are about to change forever as the inevitable age of midsized twin engined planes dominate the skies more then ever before.

We thank you for almost 50 years of service and being such an iconic aircraft in the KLM fleet. I for one always looked forward to seeing their 747s in action when filming at some of the United States busiest airports and it was ALWAYS a highlight!
