The current times have three distinct features:

1. the fast pace of change: this breads impatience. which is making us shortterm oriented. we expect too many things in too little time. this creates undue anxiety and stress.

2. abundance of choices: having number of choices seem to be very good thing but the reality is if you do not have the maturity to deal with choices, then too many choices actually can confuse you. it creates indecisiveness.
confused person often loses wholeheartedness and spends significant time in consideration rather than coming to conclusion.

3. sentence of information: we are overloaded with the information. v we are the highest information consuming generation.

abundance of information creates poverty or tension. this causes lack of focus.

focus is a meta skill, if we do not have focus, it doesn't matter what skills we have, we would not be performing to our potential if we lack focus.
