3 Different Angled Tibase Abutments

Follow
BlueSky Bio

Blue Sky Bio has 3 types of angled tibase abutments that can be used with the angled screwdriver.
Engaging tibase. Conical connection tibase. And completely non engaging tibase.
The engaging tibase is used primarily for final restorations and individual units.
Because it is hext, it has an indexible connection that allows for repeatable insertion in the same position.
The conical connection tibase is used primarily for temporary restorations.
With no hex, you don’t have to worry about hex timing during placement, allowing you to make a restoration ahead of time.
You can spin it freely into the ideal position making it more forgiving of the timing of your surgical positioning of the implant.
The conical connection tibase is ideal for screw retained bridges with divergences less than 22 degrees.
The conical connection will provide greater strength and stability to the prosthesis while also creating a biologic seal from bacteria entering the connection that may result in crestal bone loss.
The “completely non engaging tibase” is used primarily for severely angled multiunit cases that have divergences of 30 degrees or more and where the restoration is being built at the implant level rather than on multiple splinted implant cases.
In these cases not even the conical portion would draw, so you eliminate that completely.
It sits on top of the implant with no internal connection and is screwed into place.
