Depending on your goals and priorities, the reason for you to go to university or to pick a specific degree to study can be different from someone else's. A lot of people may look askance at the idea of specialising in a purely academic degree like literature (or philosophy / art) for 34 years, deeming it 'useless' or even detrimental to one's job prospects after graduation. But in this video, I debunk this misconception that studying something like English Lit at university is a waste of time, and suggest reasons for why it might even be a good idea if you've got a natural aptitude for languages and/or some degree of enthusiasm for the subject!
