I go over 3 awesome guitar licks for you to build a solid foundation for not only the techniques within these pieces, but also the scale structure of the "E" minor natural and pentatonic scales.

The first lick is a pulloff heavy progression ascending through the Em natural scale. This is an excellent piece to practice getting solid, clean sounds when using pulloffs.

The second lick is one of my personal favs. It's a descending progression using the first and second Em pentatonic positions. You can view this piece as a 5 notes perstring pattern (at least for the most part).

The third lick is an ascending progression that's also using the first and second positions of the Em pentatonic. It starts off where the second lick ends providing a smooth transition once you get it all down. This is a finger tapping lick and is awesome for practicing this technique as it covers all the strings.

Even though I only go over the first two positions in the vid it'll be good to note that all Em pentatonic positions share the same notes and all 5 minor pentatonic positions cross into each other. If you play one position, then go to the other you'll notice the previous position leaks into the next.
