Thanks for watching my B&Q Christmas 2024 review. I'd love to hear your thoughts!

B&Q boasts over 300 stores across the UK and Ireland, and I must emphasize that what follows is purely my personal opinion. Having visited numerous stores to explore their Christmas collections, I feel I've developed a keen sense of what's impressive and what isn't this year. As a former buyer for a major retailer, I understand that presentation is almost as crucial as the product itself. But again, this is just my perspective.

Among all the stores I've frequented, B&Q is the one I visit most regularly—practically every few weeks! Unfortunately, I was left disappointed this time.Let's talk about the trees! It's likely a shop issue rather than the buyer's fault, but it's evident that the trees need to be fluffed up. You can't just plonk them down and walk away. This was on a Sunday afternoon, and the area was clear with no restocking in progress.

If you're seeking a budgetfriendly tree, consider IKEA—they offer trees that genuinely resemble trees for under £30. On a positive note, I loved the metal tree base, a couple of the garlands, the postbox, and a few hanging decorations. However, the displays were lacking. How can customers be inspired without display trees? I understand they can get messy when people take off decorations, but you simply replace them! Many of the decorations are hard to discern unless you rip open the box.

I'd love to hear your thoughts! And I don't buy the excuse that it's "in a DIY store." I've worked in both large DIY warehouses and rundown garden centre greenhouses. You can create a fantastic display. I don't blame the store—it seems they've just followed a layout plan!
