My Dad, (Rest in Peace), extoled the virtues of the 3006 Springfield and demonstrated his marksmanship on Game for most all of his lifetime. Therefore he thought the 308 Win. was soporiferous. Well I listened, learned and formed my own opinion, albeit later in life. Both Cartridges are Great!
