Dive into this relaxing 35 min yin yoga for your upper body including the neck, shoulders, chest, upper back and lower back. :)

This yin yoga class is perfect for beginner yogis who want a slower practice and upper body stretch, to advanced yogis who want to go inward.

This relaxing class is designed to both calm your mood and release tension from the body. Yin yoga is a very meditative practice where we hold postures for 27 minutes traditionally. In this class, we'll be holding these yin yoga poses for 2 minutes each. The key to this is to find a yin posture that is a sensation or stretch but isn't your max. There should be no clenching in the body if there is, back off a little and breathe smoothly throughout the hold.

These extended yin yoga holds allow your muscles to relax into these upper body stretches. Anatomically, these longer yin holds allow our fascia the connective tissue that envelops every muscle, tendon, and organ to reorganize into ways that allow for greater flexibility and range of motion.

Fun fact: Tightness in the body more often comes from fascia that is not worked and moved consistently and makes us feel tight not the muscle itself.
