New video! 12Jun2021:    • 3D Printed Friction Drive Push Scooter!
Now on a push scooter!

**Hello Internet! **

For those Safetiniks: Fusion360 200N Static Stress Report
https://drive.google.com/file/d/12HJm...

This is an upgrade to my Brompton eBike Friction Drive, it is suitable for other bike frame with the common front fork mount for caliper brakes.

You will need this essential part:
https://www.brompton.com/catalogue/pa...

Build docs here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1B...

Instruction for wrapping SBR around the motor for best performance
See: https://docs.google.com/presentation/...

New upgrades includes:

1) Motor mount for Turnigy SK3 Aerodrive 6364 or 6374 190KV Brushless Motor
See: https://hobbyking.com/en_us/turnigya...
2) New outrunner fan mount for the above said motor
3) Whilst fasteners are the same you need an extra bearing
4) Dimension tweak for the slightly smaller diameter of the SK3 6364
5) 3D printed washers

If you're wondering what's the difference (in performance) between 6364 and 6374, the latter can handle higher power, but if you VESC is current limited (say 20 Amps), there's no noticeable difference. But if you have a high capacity battery, maybe a burnout of your front tyres is possible :)

Lastly, I have yet to figure out a better solution than using SBR rubber as contact surface to improve transfer of power from motor to tyre, or something that will last as long as those Schwalbe Marathon tyres.

Any suggestion please leave comments. Most welcome!
