Second attempt at tank treads for 3D Printer part ejection. This uses the same plates as the previous, but with a continuous top surface and discontinuous bottom so the treads hinge into themselves, and provide a nearly solid surface. Turns out, the gaps are easily ignored and the belt works amazingly well!
The top surface is Kapton film, .2mm thick with the tread plates being 3mm thick aluminum that's 30x300mm, with a hole to drive the belt. This style topsurface belt moves the peel force from the treads to the unifying layer so the belt goes through a sixobject test print without issues.
Thanks for watching!
