Creating Your Own DIY Organic Lipstick Using Natural Ingredients! (Simple Tutorial)

Ingredients:
1 TBSP Shea Butter
8.4 grams Carnauba wax
4.2 Grams Candelilla wax
2 TBSP Castor oil
1 TSP Almond Oil
2/3 TBSP Cocoa Powder
1 TBSP Alkanet Root Powder

Tools Needed:
Lipstick making mold and kit
Empty lipstick containers

StepbyStep Process to Make DIY Organic Lipstick
Step 1: Prepare Your Workstation
Gather all your ingredients and tools. Ensure your lipstick mold is clean and ready to use.
Set up your double boiler by filling a pot with 12 inches of water and bringing it to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl on top.
Step 2: Melt the Waxes and Butters
In the heatproof bowl, add 8.4 grams of Carnauba wax, 4.2 grams of Candelilla wax, and 1 TBSP of Shea Butter.
Allow the ingredients to melt slowly, stirring occasionally to combine them into a smooth mixture.
Step 3: Add the Oils
Once the waxes and butter are fully melted, add 2 TBSP of Castor Oil and 1 TSP of Almond Oil to the mixture.
Stir well to ensure the oils are evenly incorporated with the melted waxes and butter.
Step 4: Incorporate the Pigments
Remove the bowl from the heat once the mixture is fully combined.
Stir in 2/3 TBSP of Cocoa Powder and 1 TBSP of Alkanet Root Powder. These natural pigments will give your lipstick its rich, chocolate brown color.
Mix thoroughly to avoid any clumps and ensure the pigments are evenly distributed.
Step 5: Pour the Mixture into the Mold
While the mixture is still warm and pourable, carefully pour it into the lipstick mold.
Fill each section of the mold completely, ensuring there are no air bubbles.
Step 6: Let it Set
Allow the lipstick to cool and set in the mold for at least 15 minutes. You can place the mold in the refrigerator to speed up the process.
