Hiking alone in the Picos de Europa National Park. In April, the snow has not fully melted but the weather is mild enough to enjoy a hiking trip to the first National Park in Spain – the Picos de Europa. I selected four trails, each best in its own category, in order to see the natural beauty and cultural heritage of this mountain range in Cabrales, Northern Spain.

For my solo hiking tour I went on a road trip, starting in the North – Covadonga and Poncebos, and finishing in the South – Fuente De. The mountains reminded me of the Italian Dolomites, everything was just more peaceful here. The Picos de Europa is a great place to travel to for lovers of wild and (still) relatively untouched nature.
