The story of Faridah Simiyu is one of bravery and strength. She witnessed something bizarre at a party and she did the noble thing to report the matter to the police. Not knowing what would follow, she went on with her life until she received a call from an unknown number and the threats started. To add salt to injury, four men showed up in her house in the wee hours of the night and for 3 hours, they took turns to sexually assault her. Faridah recounts that the worst part of her experience was not the assault, but rather how the police handled her case. Her story challenges us to have a more supportive approach towards victims of sexual assault
