Synopsis: Mother Liu has endured hardships to bring up her two daughters. The elder daughter, Huifang, is kind and filial. She falls in love with Wang Husheng from an intellectual family with a factory background. Despite her mother's opposition, she gets married to him. After marriage, life is full of twists and turns. Different family and cultural backgrounds make the relationship between the couple full of estrangement. Huifang adopts an abandoned baby and names her Xiaofang. Song Dacheng, who admires her in the same factory, wholeheartedly helps the Liu family take care of everything.
