Welcome aboard the Siemens DTZ of the SBahn Zürich system! As spring is approaching and the temperatures are slowly rising, you can join me on a relaxing ride on the S8 from Pfäffikon SZ to Winterthur. We start right at the shores of Lake Zürich and follow the coast until we reach the city. A quick ride on the still relatively new crosscity link takes us to the north of Zürich, where we continue in a rural environment to the second largest city of the canton, Winterthur. This train usually terminates in Winterthur and returns back to Pfäffikon SZ, but there is a little special for you today. The second EMU that we need for rush hour wasn't ready in time and instead of coupling it in the siding right by the station, we have to get it at the maintenance depot Oberwinterthur. It's still a bit chilly, so don't put your warm clothes away just yet. However I can promise you it's comfortably warm in the drivers cab, so sit back and and enjoy the ride!
