오늘은 서울 용산구 용산2동에 있는 해방촌과 경리단길을 걸었습니다. 해방과 더불어 형성되었다 하여 '해방촌'이라는 이름이 불렸습니다. 1968년 골목 안쪽에 조성한 재래시장인 신흥시장의 빈 곳들은 도시 재생 사업으로 젊은이들이 즐겨 찾는 명소로 탈바꿈했습니다. 위쪽 부분은 남산과 연결되는 길로 접근은 힘들지만 올라온 후의 공기와 광경은 운치가 있습니다. 오래 거주한 노인부터 그냥 지나가는 여행객까지, 다양한 목적을 가진 사람들이 모여 사는 흥미로운 지역입니다.

Today, I walked along Haebangchon and Gyeongnidangil in Yongsan 2dong, Yongsangu, Seoul. It was called ‘Haebangchon’ because it was formed along with liberation. The empty space of Sinheung Market, a traditional market built inside an alley in 1968, was transformed into a popular attraction for young people through an urban regeneration project. The upper part is a path that connects to Namsan Mountain and is difficult to access, but the air and scenery after climbing there are charming. It is an interesting area where people with various purposes gather, from longtime residents to just passing travelers.
