Happy new year dear viewers! We start the year by saying goodbye to the BB67400 series of locomotives of SNCF Fret (freight). After 54 years of service, their final hour has come. We join the driver on the very last train pulled by this iconic workhorse on a beautiful line we haven't seen before through rural southern France. The line has a few considerable inclines which are noted to the lower left of the screen in promille. We will also be crossing a famous bridge built by Gustav Eiffel, the designer of the Eiffel tower.

Throughout the video, there are snapshots and videos of the train passing as it was driving. Many thanks to the photographers and railway friends who shared their recordings for this video!

Unfortunately, the windshield wasn't quite up to par for this recording. Usually we would record the line again for a nicer viewing experience, but considering the rarity of this composition that this is the very last BB67400 headed train of SNCF Fret, we considered it worth while to share.
