[4K] Pan American World Airways Douglas DC3 Landing at Prestwick Airport | D-Day 75th Anniversary

Follow
Daniel Sander

During May 2019, 12 different DC3s passed through Prestwick Airport, enroute to Duxford, as they are part of DDay 75th Anniversary celebrations. If you aren’t aware what DDay is, it was when the allies turned the tide of world war two against Nazi Germany in 1944. Great to see such an old and classic plane still flying in the present day. This one is run by a charity and is painted in the livery of Pan American World Airways, who later became Pam Am, then went under in the early 1990s.
