Learn about 5 software programs that are actually really good and free. I personally use all of these applications on a near daily basis to support my YouTube channel.

We start with Audacity, a free and opensource digital audio editor and recording application software, available for Windows, macOS, Linux, and other Unixlike operating systems.

Next, we look at DaVinci Resolve, a color correction and nonlinear video editing (NLE) application for macOS, Windows, and Linux.

Third, we look at OBS Studio (Open Broadcaster Software), is a free and opensource crossplatform streaming and recording program built with Qt and maintained by the OBS Project.

Fourth, we look at VLC media player, a free and opensource, portable, crossplatform media player software and streaming media server developed by the VideoLAN project. The default distribution of VLC includes many free decoding and encoding libraries, avoiding the need for finding/calibrating proprietary plugins.

Lastly, we look at LibreOffice, a free and opensource office productivity software suite, a project of The Document Foundation (TDF).

As a bonus at the end, we look at Paint.net, a freeware raster graphics editor program for Microsoft Windows, developed on the .NET Framework.
