Ableton Live, especially Ableton Suite, is a complete A Z music creation suite. You can easily create "chart topping" modern music using just the native tools within the DAW. There is a giant marketing hustle attempting to convince users that they need external plugins. There are some rare cases however where there are external plugins that actually do new and novel things and can generally increase the speed of workflow.
