My grandpa wanted my opinion on the garter snake population on his property in central Alberta, so we spent the day hiking around looking for Plains Garter Snakes (the only species in this area), birds, and antler sheds! Needless to say, the population is doing great!

We were fortunate enough to find a Great Horned Owl nest with fledglings (babies) as well as some Ruffed Grouse. We also found 8 deer antler sheds!
