Quickly adapting to new realities, the Parthians created a solid political system. Various symbolic systems Babylonian, Iranian, nomadic, Hellenistic formed the basis for the new state. Whom did the ancient Parthians consider themselves to be the heirs of the Achaemenids or the Hellenistic Seleucid conquerors? How are Greek philosophy and the fading practices of Babylonia related?
