Today, 61306 took on the duty of “The Golden Arrow”. Starting at Hanwell after taking over from 47593 which made its way from Bristol Temple Meads, 61306 began its journey around Kent with many whistles, hauling an iconic train!

We first see 61306 at Shoreham powering its way through with some whistles before then catching up with the tour and just about making it at Ashford International where it cruised through the station!

We then see the tour at Canterbury West where 61306 spent some time in the sidings to gain water and coal in preparation for the long return to Hanwell!

After we see the tour depart Canterbury, we then see 61306 approaching Headcorn whilst it waits for a service to Charing Cross to pass before we overtake the service on our way to Paddock Wood.

A water stop at Paddock Wood marked the final sighting of the amazing 61306 “Mayflower” and gave me a chance to see the steam locomotive up close! Enjoy!
