ok so i was about to start attempts and was practicing ridge which is the first room in my route. i cleared it and was ready to start doing golden attempts but decided to continue playing for some reason thinking that the run wouldn't get anywhere because it was the first run of the day. it ended up getting to 6th key and i'm fine with this but i would not have been fine with this if it got to second split because then i would have had a 2 segment* lol

playing from ridge only removes like 3 seconds of free gameplay at the start of the golden so i'm fully counting this as a pb. this grind also parallels hv even more now because my first penultimate run in that grind was done from a savestate next to the golden back before fref told us what the intended pickup was

also idk if the heartrate after temple was real or not, i can see it being real because my brain probably stopped being capable of processing what was happening after i collected the key
