Train Crosses Bridge That I Have Never Filmed. Trains With DPUs. CSX & Norfolk Southern Trains In Walton, Kentucky. Speed Checks By Radar Gizmo On 2 Fast Trains.
I went to one of my favorite locations in Walton, Kentucky to catch some CSX and Norfolk Southern trains. This is Locust Street. CSX has a crossing with cross bucks only and Norfolk Southern has a crossing on this road with lights, bell and gates. The first two trains are NS trains at the crossing.
The third train is a CSX manifest that was heading to the branch to Ghent, Kentucky that comes off the main at Worthville, Kentucky. This is a daily local and it does not use the street running track in LaGrange.
Next, I move a couple miles north in Walton to the Gaines tavern that was built in 1814 and is the oldest house in Walton. This house is owned by the city. We see a train pass in front of the house with 7 locomotives. By popular demand I brought back the radar gizmo. Look how fast this train is going!
The next train is a fast train with a DPU shoving the rear. This train is really booking! See how fast this train is going.
On my way home I heard a train come over the radio on 160.950 so I decided to film it crossing a bridge that I have never filmed before in the Florence, Kentucky area. There was very little traffic and I was able to catch the train while I was in my vehicle. That was actually a lucky catch.
