Plastic is everywhere in gardening – in netting, fleece, hoses, warm and light clothing, waterproofs, wellingtons and tools. But the downside, as we now know, is that it doesn’t go away. It just breaks down into smaller and smaller particles. So I like a great many gardeners around the world have decided to make a stand. No plastic used in the garden will be leaving my property and over the next couple of years I am going to phase down to no new plastic coming onto my property through gardening.
