70000 Britannia and Black Five No 44871 lead two separate tours to Bath in winter conditions. 44871 was the first to arrive, with a Railway Touring Company tour from London Paddington to Bristol via Westbury, with 70000 Britannia arriving later in the day, with a Steam Dreams tour from London Victoria.
The day began at Dundas Aqueduct, where 44871 is caught winding through the Avon valley. With four hours to kill before Britannia’s arrival, the decision was made to find somewhere near Salisbury; East Dean crossing was chosen. After that, it was back to Bath. Late running GWR services would go on to interupt the afternoon, with multiple shots being bowled, or hurried to avoid being bowled. Nonetheless, shots were taken at:
00:00 Bath Christmas Market Expresses
00:10 Dundas Aqueduct
01:54 East Dean Crossing
03:35 Bath Spa
07:07 Newton St Loe
09:43 Keynsham
I hope you enjoy watching, if you did, please like, comment and subscribe, it really is rather flattering.
