3/17/23 UPDATE: Well, I finally got the camera to connect to my MacBook. I had to use a nonpowered external hub with a USBA output on it. Very complicated to finally find a connection that worked, but it finally worked.

3/16/23 UPDATE: 70mai has sent me a video showing the camera connected to a MacBook via USBA to USBC cable. I was unable to get an A to C cable to do anything other than power on the camera, but presumably it "should" work. 70mai is going to post a video to their YouTube feed clarifying the process.    / @70mai_official  


Full disclosure: 70mai sent me this unit to review, but they had no say in the content of the review which should be obvious once you watch the review because I come down pretty hard on it.

The Omni is a unique idea, but with too many flaws for me to be able to recommend it. The video quality is outstanding for 1080p, but with no removable MicroSD card it is very difficult to get that high quality video onto a computer. The key feature of this dash cam is its ability to recognize, track, and record threats, but I never got that feature to work even once.

Many of the problems with the dash cam can be fixed with firmware updates, so let's hope they are able to do that.
