8 Week Pregnancy Ultrasound

Clinical History: Firsttime pregnancy, no known complications. Patient reports mild nausea but no significant complaints.

Findings: Gestational Sac
Location: Intrauterine
Appearance: Normal, round shape with smooth contours
Size: Mean diameter of 20 mm, corresponding to a gestational age of approximately 8 weeks.

Findings: Yolk Sac
Visibility: Present
Size: Normal, measuring approximately 3 mm in diameter.

Findings: Embryo
CrownRump Length (CRL): 15 mm, which is consistent with a gestational age of 8 weeks.
Heart Rate: Detected, with a rate of approximately 160 beats per minute, which is within the normal range for this gestational age.
Structural Assessment: No abnormalities detected at this early stage. Normal early embryonic morphology.

Findings: Placenta
Location: Posterior wall of the uterus
Appearance: Normal for gestational age

Findings: Maternal Anatomy
Ovaries: Normal in appearance. Corpus luteum cyst noted in the right ovary, which is expected in early pregnancy.
Uterus: Anteverted, normal size and shape for gestational age.
Cervix: Normal length and closed.

Impression:
This is a normal intrauterine pregnancy at 8 weeks of gestation. The embryonic heart rate and measurements are consistent with the expected gestational age. There are no findings suggestive of ectopic pregnancy or significant abnormalities at this time. Followup ultrasound is recommended in accordance with standard obstetric care protocols to monitor the progression of the pregnancy.
