A longer than expected video of my attempts to repair a couple of broken iPhone USB lightning cables.

The first is a PQI branded cable, which is actually pretty well made, that failed from the cable being kinked over near the lightning plug causing the cable itself to fail, not the cable connections onto the PCB (which is what usually happens), this was going well until I reassembled the connector, which somehow put stress on a PCB pad tearing it off the board making the plug useless, so unfortunately that ended up in the bin in the end.

The second cable failed at the USB plug itself, the strain relief was not properly installed, causing the wires to be pulled from the PCB. I cut off and redo the wires onto the plug, and correctly do the strain relief so the wires are not being pulled from the PCB.
