80 Landings & Takeoffs in 60 Minutes today with some special airplanes. Filming airplanes at Amsterdam Schiphol is quite interesting. You often have some nice motifs. Due to crosswinds that day all planes were pointing at us planespotters and that` s why I looked quite amazing when the A380 of Emirates was pointing straight at the other planespotter. Schiphol and its famous Polderbaan is a wonderful spot to film planes and enjoy some time while watching planes. I would even say the Polderbaan is the best planespotting position in Europe.

The second clip shows an An124 of VDA Airlines, filmed at Cologne a while ago. During strom Crosswinds the pilots somehow landed the plane in the front wheel. Quite crazy to see such a massive plane touch down on the front wheel. I can` t imagine how much stress the fron the section of the plane had to endure until they touched down on the main gear. That day, the main runway at Cologne was closed and the An124 had to land on the short runway. Maybe that was one of the reasons why the pilots tried to get the plane down as fast as possible.
