Starting a business is something that many people aspire to, however, those same people are also very good at finding reasons not to do so! In this video, I want to help you overcome the obstacles that are getting in the way of setting up a business for yourself in 2024.

Have you always wanted to start a business but there always seems to be something getting in the way? We often make excuses for our inaction as it's easier to do nothing than it is to take a chance on yourself and face the risk of failure.

Although this video may sound critical, its ultimate goal is to provide starting a business motivation that will hopefully encourage entrepreneurs to move forward with their business ideas.

Running a small business definitely isn't for everyone, here are the 9 most common reasons I hear from people who make excuses not to start a business:

The REAL Reason You're Still An Employee

• They don't have enough time this is probably the biggest lie of them all, it only takes 30 minutes a day to build the foundations for a business.
• Not enough money there are lots of business opportunities that don't require large amounts of capital
• Lack of support without the support of your partner, friends and/or family, it is difficult to commit to starting a new business
• Seeking opinions and validation from unqualified people this is one of the biggest killers of new business ideas, never ask an unqualified person what they think about your business idea
• Comfort and commitments don't let the comfort of your existing life prevent you from aiming for more
• Lack of experience there are lots of business opportunities that can be learned online from places like YouTube
• Insurmountable or unrealistic expectations aiming for a million can often feel out of reach, instead, start with more humble goals such as replacing your current income and then scale from there
• Not everyone’s cut out to be a business owner this is absolutely fine, if this video doesn't motivate you then it may be time to accept that you are happy as an employee
• Self doubt and fear of failure what will others think of you if you fail? Who cares!
