মুসলিম শরিফে হযরত আবু হুরায়রা (রা) বর্ণনা করেছেন, রাসুল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম এরশাদ করেছেন, আল্লাহ তায়ালা এরশাদ করেন, নামাজ (অর্থাৎ সুরাতুল ফাতিহা) আমার এবং আমার বান্দাদের মধ্যে দু ভাগে বিভক্ত। অর্ধেক আমার জন্য আর বাকি অর্ধেক আমার বান্দাদের জন্য। আমার বান্দাগণ যা চায়, তা তাদেরকে দেওয়া হবে। অতঃপর রাসুল সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়া সাল্লাম বলেছেন, যখন বান্দাগণ বলে ‘আল হামদুলিল্লাহ’, তখন আল্লাহ বলেন, আমার বান্দাগণ আমার প্রশংসা করছে। আর যখন বলে ‘আর রাহমানির রাহীম’, তখন তিনি বলেন, তারা আমার মহত্ত¡ ও শ্রেষ্ঠত্ব বর্ণনা করছে। যখন বলে ‘মালিকি য়াওমিদ্দীন’, তখন তিনি বলেন, আমার বান্দাগণ আমার গুণগান করছে। যখন বলে, ‘ইয়্যাকা না‘বুদু ওয়া ইয়্যাকা নাসতা‘ঈন’, তখন তিনি বলেন, এ আয়াতটি আমার এবং আমার বান্দাগণের মধ্যে সংযুক্ত। কারণ এর এক অংশে আমার প্রশংসা এবং অপর অংশে বান্দাগণের দোয়া ও আরজ রয়েছে। সঙ্গে এ কথাও বলা হয়েছে, বান্দাগণ যা চাবে, তারা তা পাবে। বান্দাগণ যখন বলে ‘ইহদিনাস সিরাতাল মুসতাকীম’ (শেষ পর্যন্ত), তখন আল্লাহ বলেন, এসবই আমার বান্দাগণের জন্য এবং তারাযা চাবে, তা পাবে। (তাফসীরে মাযহারি১৫২৯)
