This video outlines the anatomy of the clavicle, including its anatomical position, general features, side identification, muscular attachments, articulations, ligaments, and applied anatomy.

The weakest point of the clavicle is the 2/3
1/3 (because there is a change in the CURVATURE of the clavicle at this point).
Fracture at this point leads to:
1. The lateral fragment (including the whole upper limb) will be: ⬇↗
a. Depressed ⬇ By gravity. (الجاذبية الأرضية)
b. Pushed forwards + Medially rotated ↗ By the muscles attached to the bicipital
groove of the humerus.
2. The medial fragment is elevated ⬆ By the sternocleidomastoid muscle.

* :
1. The clavicle is the first bone to ossify—around the fifth to seventh weeks in utero (Moseley, 1968; Ogata and Uhthoff, 1990). It is also the last bone to fully unite—around the 22nd to 25th years (Rockwood et al., 2006; Kim and McKee, 2008).

2. Intramembranous ossification directly converts the mesenchymal tissue to bone, forming the flat bones of the skull, clavicle, and most cranial bones.
