This marks the last in a Bible Study series called "Origin Stories" based on the first eleven chapters of the Book of Genesis. Today, we take a deeper look at the story of Babel a story of how human beings seek to remain united, sharing one common culture and tongue, and how God disrupts these plans.

This Bible study is dedicated to the memory of Stephen Owens (19532021), a friend and parishioner who died of cancer this year. Steve was a lover of language a polyglot and a teacher of English to those who were learning it as a second language. He also loved the scriptures and helped me launch a Bible study program that is specially designed for students of the English language.
