What happens to infants and young children that sadly pass away? Scripture tells us they go to be with the God who lovingly created them. However, some Augustinians (Calvinists, Catholics & Arminians) hold to the doctrine of infant damnation.

Recently, Warren McGrew of Idol Killer went on @Soteriology101 with Leighton Flowers and Jordan Hatfield of @GreatLightStudios . There the topic of unelect children perishing came up, and Warren described the spirit behind it as being akin to those ancient pagan worshippers of Molech and Baal. #BaalGate

Well, some Calvinists (like James White of @AominOrg & Marlon Wilson of @tgtengage and others) didn't take this too kindly. However, instead of offering a Biblical or philosophical defense of the doctrine, they clutched their pearls, called Warren a liar, claimed he rejected Scripture and twisted the Bible, told people he claimed Calvinists don't love their children and overall presented this as if Warren claimed all Calvinists affirmed infant damnation. Yet, anyone familiar with either the context of Warren's statements, or his teaching elsewhere should know Warren has never argued this is monolithic.

But nevertheless, Christians across the internet began locking horns over infant damnation, as well as these misrepresentations. Some going so far as to demand Warren apologize, calling his statements a personal attack.

"Yes, I believe your babies go to heaven. No, I'm not the least bit sorry."

Eventually Warren, Leighton and Jordan met back up to offer a response, but this video should suffice as a highlight of the firestorm Warren's comments ignited.
