Almost one month since the merger between Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern, there is still plenty of KCS power out on the mainline. Here, a former KCSM "Grey Ghost" AC44 leads CPKC train 259 out of their yard in East St Louis, IL, and is seen four other times, as well. The first two shots are in IL, and last three are in MO, after the train crossed the Mississippi River at Louisiana, MO. Due to prior obligations, I was unable to chase the train after Granite City, and caught back up with it in Louisiana.
The sun and clouds simply refused to cooperate at most of the locations (what''s new?), but the video still came together the best it could.
