In this video on The Birding Voyage we explore the area of High Island, Texas, where thousands of birds migrate through each year after crossing the Gulf of Mexico. I explored several hotspots such as Smith Oaks, Boy Scout Woods, Anahuac, Bolivar Flats and Sabine Woods. It was an incredible experience and I would highly recommend visiting there. I was there April 11th14th. From my research the peak of migration is the 2nd and 3rd week of April.
