WELCOME TO ART!

Welcome to Art!
What is Surrealism?
Surrealism is a 20thcentury avantgarde movement in art and literature which sought to release the creative potential of the unconscious mind, for example by the irrational juxtaposition of images. The key component revolved around tapping into the unconscious mind.
It was greatly inspired by some of the philosophies of Sigmund Freud and the artists Jean Arp, Max Ernst, André Masson, René Magritte, Yves Tanguy, Salvador Dalí, Pierre Roy, Paul Delvaux, and Joan Miró.
"The mind is like an iceberg, it floats with one
seventh of its bulk above water." Sigmund Freud
There are two types of surrealism:
1.) Art that is inspired by dreams.
2.) Automatism: art that is done without thinking (doodling is a form of this).

"When you go beyond the basic elements of art and explore combinations, design and you imagination, the possibilities are creatively endless."
Respect the art, respect the artist!
Have fun!
