This livestream features gameplay sessions of Nintendo Switch Sports, with a Sportsmate customised to look like Abby one of the existing Sportsmates in the game that is AIcontrolled.

I recall feeling more withdrawn during this session feeling like I had lost the spirit of the gameplay. For me, the purpose of playing as these Sportsmates is to be able to see them in gameplay from their perspective (as well as seeing them with other Sportsmates from the game, like Barbara). One assessment of my issue is that these sessions (as well as the livestream) had felt more centred around myself, rather than the character Abby. Although my intention was to complete one of the game's "Collections," I also theorise that the Play Globally environment focused the sessions around my ability to play the game, or the other participants I was playing with, instead of Abby's performance during those sessions.

I think that this also had an impact on the Play Locally session of Golf, in addition to the struggle to give each Sportsmate a slightly unique playstyle. However, I noticed how happy I was to see Haru during that session; I think this happened because I had more of a personal connection to her, than Abby or Oscar for example. Overall, I believe I was feeling selfconscious, and that my behaviour during the stream was irrational and less natural.


I used the OBS platform and an Elgato HD60 Capture Card device for this stream, with 720p30 quality. My laptop isn't one of the strongest computers for this kind of work, and the quality may be poor at times.
My social anxiety and mild autism has a tendency to affect how I respond to other people. I usually only reply to the Live Chat when I'm not focusing on the game (generally when no gameplay is happening at the time) my responses are usually spoken.
Although I try to monitor the quality of my commentary, I cannot hear it during the stream. You may experience issues related to this.
It would be nice for the Live Chat to be a welcoming place for users of all age groups. Your consideration for others is valuable.
