Northern California is in the middle of an intense heat wave. The forecast shows this will likely become one of the region's longest on record. As of Wednesday, Sacramento has reached at least 100 degrees for three days in a row. Each day on the KCRA 3 weather team sevenday forecast shows highs in the triple digits. That forecast would make this heat wave one of the longest in the region's recorded history. Weather data goes back to 1877.
