Generally considered a moderately challenging route, Bear Creek Trail, an 8.2km outandback trail is a very popular area for camping, hiking, and horseback riding. The trail heads southeast toward Bear Creek Canyon, climbing through a beautiful forest. Openings in the trees offer nice views to the north of the cliffs and peaks towering above Telluride.

The trail is open yearround and is beautiful to visit anytime so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring. The trail is preserved by The San Miguel Conservation Foundation in partnership with the town of Telluride and its residents. Guests acclaim it for its impressive sights and ambiance.

A great reward for your eyes after a hike is the Bear Creek Falls. The impressive waterfall display reminds you of how magical nature can be and is sure to leave you in awe. This park is sure to exceed your expectations.
