Washington Dulles International Airport was first opened in November 1962, located 42 km west of downtown Washington, D.C. This mm video clip was taken soon after its completion of the Airport. It includes the air view of aircraft to Chicago O'Hare International Airport.　In 1963, in Japan, a main expressway with two lanes in each direction and a part of it had just been completed. In comparison, the progress of Interstate Highway Systems in the United States has been astonishing. Please allow me that some of the 8mm film has dust attached to it.

ワシントン・ダレス国際空港はバージニア州にある国際空港、開業当初の名前はダレス国際空港であり、アイゼンハワー政権下で国務長官を務めたダレスにちなんで命名された。
ホワイトハウスの42Km西に立地している。
たまたま倉庫に眠っていた建設後間もないダレス国際空港からシカゴ・オヘア国際空港、ミリフィルムをアップした。8mmフィルムの一部に埃が付着していますが、ご了承ください。
当時、日本では、やつと片側車線の主と高速道路のごく一部が完成したばかりで、それに比し、米国で州間高速道路の進展ぶりは驚くべきものであった。
