A Night Vision Kit for the Prepared Citizen: My First Attempt
Night vision can bring your SHTF preparedness level to the next tier. Especially considering the fact that it has seen widespread adoption.

Night vision and the systems built around it can be very expensive. There is a massive financial barrier to entry. Regardless, those who would become the greatest threats during a SHTF style scenario have access to night vision in the same way that we do here in the preparedness community. Even if it seems unobtainable, you can start the process of working towards it through smaller, less expensive items in your prepared citizen kit. Having a red dot sight on a taller mount now will enable you to practice with it currently and then use it in the future for passive aiming if you end up obtaining night vision capabilities down the road. You can also learn about what capabilities night vision provides it's users with so that you can better strategize your defensive plans regarding foes who might utilize it.
