A Prayer for Your Daughter
Almighty God,
You created my daughter.
You saw her
being formed in the womb
and You knew she existed
even before I did.
I am so grateful you created her
and I am even more thankful
for the opportunity to raise her.
Dear Lord,
You've blessed me with a daughter
and there isn't any doubt
that she is so beautiful
in every way.
Thank you Lord Jesus
for giving me a daughter
so full of love.
Gracious Father, bless my daughter
as she goes into the world each day.
Be near her,
guide her and protect her
from any harm.
Remind her that in You,
there is no fear,
but instead there is the power
to be confident and brave.
Protect her heart,
feelings and emotions.
Help her to make good choices.
Fill her with your Holy spirit
to guide her steps
and help her make good decisions
in all that she does.
Help her to be able to stand alone
and always do the right thing
and encourage others to do the same.
Lord fill her with your strength and wisdom.
Give her a helpful heart and a kind spirit.
Fill my daughter with courage
in knowing that
You're there with her every moment.
Give her strength to admit
she doesn't have all the answers
and to reach out for help.
Keep my daughter
from worrying about money
by trusting You would provide all her needs.
Keep her healthy in mind,
body and spirit.
When sickness grips her body,
You be her healer and restore her health.
Surround her with friends
who have a positive impact on her life.
Give her the wisdom,
to know when to turn away
from a relationship,
that is not in step with your plans.
Help her to know
when You bring the man
that is best for her
according to You.
Let that relationship
bring her joy and peace.
Gracious Father,
I pray for your emotional,
physical and spiritual protection
over my daughter.
Keep evil far from her
and help her to trust you
as her refuge and strength.
I ask you Lord Jesus,
to cover my daughter
with your blood,
protecting her from all enemies,
visible and invisible,
known and unknown.
Guide her steps, Almighty Father,
throughout the day
and throughout her life.
I make this prayer through Christ our Lord.
