Getting a positive Rheumatoid Factor (RF) test back may seem like it's a slam dunk for a diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), but it's not. Rheumatologists use a collection of tests to help them diagnose RA, including the antiCCP antibody test. This blood test is known to be much more specific for RA, but when it is negative in someone with a +RF, it can lead to a lot of confusion!
