Based out of Arcade, New York, the Arcade & Attica Railroad offers scenic train rides powered by antique steam locomotive number 18. 18 is a 280 Consolidation type steam locomotive constructed in 1920 by the American Locomotive Works (or ALCo for short) for a Cuban Railroad, but was never exported, and first served a quarry in New Jersey, then on the Boyne City Railroad of Michigan, and then finally on the Arcade & Attica Railroad hauling their tourist trains, and occasionally revenue freight trains. The A&A runs trains regularly from Memorial Day weekend to the last weekend in October, plus Easter Bunny Trips, and Christmas Specials. All the regular excursions during the regular operating season are powered by the number 18.
